More about this event:
Come visit reforested farmland to learn and practice pruning techniques under the guidance of ISA Certified Arborists. Witness the difference that nearly 20 years of reforestation makes for human and environmental health. When young trees are pruned correctly, they are more structurally sound as they mature and have the ability to withstand more extreme weather events (like wind and ice storms). Learn how to support the health and longevity of your trees while also accounting for your aesthetic preferences. All work will be done from the ground. Gloves and tools will be provided. This event will be focusing solely on pruning trees and sharp tools will be in use. While most of our events are child-friendly, this workshop is not advised for those under the age of 16. Please email Amy (amy@treeslexington.org) if you have a child younger than 16 who would like to attend. All participants must have a signed waiver, available on the event website linked below.
