Pruning 102 for Tree Stewards: A Lex Grow Trees Event

March 29 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Ready to take your pruning skills to the next level? Join Trees Lexington for Pruning 102, a hands-on workshop designed to refine your techniques, and care for trees at the newly certified arboretum at African Cemetery No. 2. This event builds upon the skills learned at their Pruning 101 workshop, but prior attendance isn’t required! A special introductory session will be offered for newcomers. Practice on a variety of trees and learn how proper pruning sets them up for healthy growth. ISA-certified arborists will be on hand to supervise, answer your questions, and demonstrate advanced techniques on larger trees.  Don’t miss this opportunity to contribute to this budding arboretum and become a pruning pro!

Be prepared:

  • Wear closed-toed shoes
  • Bring a refillable water bottle
  • Work gloves and tools will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own if preferred.

This workshop earns pruning credit for registered Tree Stewards.

Please RSVP with Trees Lexington here.

NOTE: There is an opportunity to keep working until 4 p.m. Park inside the cemetery. No facilities on site.
