Tree Week Lexington returns for a seventh year, October 11-20. Tree Week Lexington has over 70 events, most of them completely free, and offer a chance for folks of all ages and abilities to go out and enjoy our city’s green spaces.
Tree Week Lexington is a community effort with events and programs hosted by a range of groups and individuals throughout Fayette County with something for everyone — from tree giveaways, tours, and hikes to climate conversations, educational programs, arts, literature, yoga, and more. The Kick Off event on Friday will feature tree planting at Mary Todd Park, offering Lexingtonians an opportunity to get out in their community and help get trees in the ground at a park that needs them, all while learning more about the work that local and state environmental organizations are doing.
